Goodbye summer. Yesterday was the first totally raining autumn day here in Istanbul. Today, however, was filled with blue skies and crisp winds. We still pulled out the grill for one last summer hoorah! Sweet, succulent, and smoky. Hot peaches are the guilt-free version of a peach pie to my taste buds.
Grilled Peaches
1. Wash and dry peaches. Slice peaches in half and remove pit.
2. Skewer peaches and place the peaches juice side down.
3. Drizzle 1 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil over the skinned-side of the peaches.
4. Grill for 5-7 minutes and then turn over and grill for an additional 5 minutes.
Serve with honey or whipped cream if you'd like added sweetness.
