Treats & Fêtes is a place for food lovers and world travelers alike.
The impetus for this blog comes from the love of my life who inspires me to cook everyday, who always celebrates my delicious food, and who sweetly reminds me even my food failures are impressive feats for an expat with limited resources.
About the Foodie
If you've read Megan's Twitter bio, you already know she is a Californian at heart who adores all her delicious cheeses, wines, and sunshine. She is a graduate of California Lutheran University and a proud Trio Student Support Services alumni. Megan served in the @PeaceCorps as a Community Economic Development volunteer from 2009-2011 in Goychay, Azerbaijan where she met and later married the love of her life.
Though this may go without saying, Megan enjoys living in a place that values family as highly as sharing tea and meals. For the 2014-2015 calendar year, Megan will live and travel throughout Turkey, starting in Istanbul and allowing the wind (cheap Pegasus flights) to carry her to wherever she should land next. To see where Megan is now, you can go to her Contact page for an interactive Google Map. Turks love their food, their tea, and their raki, and Megan is intent on experiencing all of Turkey's (and the world's) delights.
Follow Megan's Twitter for news on women, Turkey, politics, and - tabii ki, of course - food.
