From Resident Director training in Washington, DC to my uncle's beachside wedding in southern California, I have had a fantastic time traipsing across America for 2 weeks. Lucky me, I know! And now that I have arrived back in Turkey, I am off for a lovely weekend trip to celebrate the birthday of my sweet, brilliant spouse.
We are headed to Olympos, which looks a little something like this photo from happytourturkey.com. In 2010, the Telegraph featured Olympos as one of the best beaches in Turkey! Olympos was an ancient city in Lycia, when this geopolitical region was called Anatolia. Its ruins are located south of the modern town Çıralı in the Kumluca district of Antalya Province of Turkey. We hope to visit the ruins, swim in the Mediterranean Sea and enjoy the sunshine on the beach (inshallah we will have sunshine, rain is predicted for Friday).
