Mexican hot chocolate is everything: spicy and sweet, a memory of my childhood, and a comfort food.
Ingredients
4 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp ground nutmeg
Pinch cayenne pepper
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
3 1/2 cups milk
Directions
1. In a large pot over medium heat, whisk together
milk, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and nutmeg.
2. Add chocolate chips. Stir until chocolate is melted.
Serve with homemade whiskey whipped cream
and a dusting of cinnamon.
